Q: Are disabled people fit for diving?
A: With proper planning and assistance, almost everybody can join the diving courses. All training programs are developed with international standards to adapt to people with disabilities to learn scuba diving in a safe and happy way.
Q: What is the benefit of scuba diving for people with disabilities?
A: The weightless condition under water provides an opportunity for physically handicapped people, especially people with paraplegia or quadriplegia to exercise their limbs more effectively. Under the circumstance of weightless condition, they can move more easily than that on the ground. With faster sound transmission underwater, hearing impaired people can explore a completely new experience in the water world. Even visual impaired and blind people can enjoy the pleasure of being weightless underwater.
Q: Can I learn scuba diving if I am not able to swim?
A: It is not a prerequisite for the student diver being a competent swimmer. Before the course the instructor will conduct a swimming evaluation to assess if any additional attention the student may require. The swimming evaluation includes 50m swimming and 5 minutes survival float.
Q: Who is entitled to enjoy the privilege course fee?
A: The holder of “Registration Card for People with Disabilities” issued by Hong Kong Government
will enjoy a privilege course fee. Types of Disability include:

Q: Does scuba diving a risky activity?
A: Every activity has risk; there is no exemption for scuba diving. To control and reduce the risk, each participant must complete the medical statement so that the trainee and the instructor know the possible restriction in scuba diving. The trainee also needs to grant the doctor consent before the start of scuba diving. We will maintain the training in a safe and fun environment and guarantee the ratio of instructor to student will not less than 1 to 1.
Q: Can my family members, relatives or friends accompany me to dive?
A: As long as they are fit for diving we welcome and encourage the caretaker to diver with you.
