An advanced course is a short course in which a specific type of diving is covered in detail. Examples of the training modules include underwater photography, night diving, diving with underwater scooters and underwater navigation.

Surface Support Specialist Course

This specialty course is developed for non-divers who intend to assist divers with disability at the surface. Divers with disabilities are often accompanied by friends or family members, who bring them and their equipment to and from the dive site and, help them to gear up. After following this program, non-divers may actively participate in dive planning and help other divers, performing useful and enjoyable tasks. The Surface Support Specialist course is comprised knowledge development and practical. The knowledge development session comprises the operation, principle and function of dive equipment, medical-related concerns and restrictions for various disabilities and the use of aids for the disabled people. The practical includes how to assist a disabled diver enter and exit the water; use of dive planner; emergency procedures; cardio pulmonary resuscitation and use of emergency oxygen.

Dive Partner Course

The Dive Partner course is an advanced course specifically developed to train certified Rescue Divers to supervise divers with disabilities. The course content is similar to the Surface Support Specialty and the participants will learn more about how to signal to a blind diver underwater and the correct procedures for diving with paralyzed or visually impaired divers.
